Dodger Stadium hosts first Catholic Night, where Valley bishop throws first pitch
It’s not clear which team God might favor Friday at Dodger Stadium: the Los Angeles Dodgers backed by L.A.’s bishops, or a friar team dubbed the San Diego Padres.
But during the first-ever “Catholic Night” at Dodger Stadium tonight, the Archdiocese of Los Angeles will get home field advantage: The first two ceremonial pitches will be thrown by local bishops, including newly appointed Auxiliary Bishop Joseph V. Brennan, head of the San Fernando Valley Pastoral Region.

Sister Godelaine said everyday there would be new patients at its door seeking their help and while previously, they themselves would go and bring the needy from the streets, these days, the ex-patients bring them on their own and there is not much need and it has become popular among the needy.

LA Archdiocese to honor Mother Teresa’s canonization with special Mass, chapel
The Archdiocese of Los Angeles will observe the canonization of Mother Teresa with a special Mass at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels on Sunday, after which Archbishop José Gomez will bless and a cathedral chapel in her honor.
