Mother Teresa Honored
The city of Los Angeles is honoring Mother Teresa’s recent canonization in a special way. The Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels on West Temple Street held a Mass yesterday, and after, Los Angeles Archbishop Jose H. Gomez opened and blessed a chapel dedicated to her. It will display photographs and stories of her visits to Los Angeles, as well as a relic made out of pieces of her hair in the form of a cross. Mother Teresa was named an official saint by Pope Francis in Vatican City for her work with hundreds of thousands of homeless in Kolkata, India.
