CATHOLIC CHURCH: Inland bishops in L.A. anti-abortion march
Inland Bishops Gerald Barnes and Rutilio del Riego will participate Saturday in the OneLife LA march and rally against abortion in downtown Los Angeles.
This is the inaugural year for the march, which goes beyond opposition to abortion to “celebrate the beauty of all human life from conception to death,” said Kevin Kast, project coordinator for the Office of Life, Justice and Peace for the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Los Angeles and a spokesman for the event.

Funeral Services Held For Mother, Son Killed While Crossing Street In Redondo Beach
REDONDO BEACH (CBSLA.com) — Funeral services were held Saturday for a 36-year-old woman and her 6-year-old son who were fatally struck by a car as they were leaving a student Christmas concert.
According to the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, the funeral began at 10:00 a.m. for Martha and Samuel Gaza, located at St. James Catholic Church located at 415 Vincent Street.

Archbishop celebrates Christmas Mass at Men’s Central

AB 60 allows undocumented immigrants to apply for driver’s licenses
For Maricela De La Rosa, a parishioner and member of the social justice ministry group at St. Martha Church in Huntington Park, 2015 couldn’t come soon enough. Thanks to AB 60, this new year will bring the fulfillment of a long-held wish for several family friends and members of her parish community. The new law requires the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) to begin issuing driver’s licenses for undocumented immigrants after Jan. 1.
