Archbishop Gomez celebrates Mass at the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico City during pilgrimage
Archbishop José H. Gomez is leading 102 pilgrims from the Archdiocese of Los Angles on a pilgrimage to Mexico City. The pilgrims are making the journey to visit the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe which houses the original tilma (or cloak) of St. Juan Diego, which holds the miraculous image of Our Lady of Guadalupe that appeared in 1531. It is the first Archdiocesan pilgrimage to the shrine.

Loyola High School celebrates ordination of two alumni
Loyola High School in Los Angeles is celebrating the ordination of two of their alumni after both men entered the priesthood within a week of each other. School officials say they are “thankful for this extraordinary blessing to our community.”
