MEDIA DETAILS FOR U.S. AND CANADIAN CATHOLIC BISHOPS LITURGY FOR THE BLESSED MOTHER’S INTERCESSION IN COVID-19 PANDEMIC ON MAY 1
On Friday, May 1, at noon (12 p.m. pacific) Archbishop José H. Gomez of Los Angeles and president of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) will lead a special liturgy in renewing the consecration of the United States to the care of our Blessed Mother amidst COVID-19 pandemic. Archbishop Gomez will lead the liturgy from the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels in downtown Los Angeles with Bishop Kevin Vann of Orange and Father David Gallardo, pastor at the Cathedral.
The liturgy will be pooled (details below) for members of the broadcast media by EWTN, photography pool will be provided by the Associated Press, and ASL translation will be available. The liturgy will be livestreamed for the public to join on https://www.facebook.com/usccb and https://lacatholics.org/consecration.
