EASTER MASS BROADCAST LIVE FROM CATHEDRAL OF OUR LADY OF THE ANGELS ONLINE AND VIA CATHOLIC AND LOCAL STATIONS
Archbishop José H. Gomez will celebrate Easter Sunday Mass on April 12 from the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angles in downtown Los Angeles at 7 a.m. in Spanish and 10 a.m. in English.
“We celebrate Easter this year at home, but we know that our God is with us,” said Archbishop José H. Gomez. “Even in times like this, when we see trouble in the world, and we are afraid for the future. Jesus rises to tell us that his love is stronger than death! Christ is risen and we will rise with him! This is the promise of Easter. Nothing can separate us from the love of God, not persecution, famine, pestilence, or plague. And not this pandemic.”
As public gatherings and worship services have been suspended due to the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic, the Archdiocese of Los Angeles is partnering with Catholic and local media outlets to bring Easter Sunday Mass, the most sacred time of the year for Christians, into the homes of families across Southern California and beyond.
