Este sábado se llevará a cabo la celebración del Día de Muertos en el Cementerio Calvary, donde se realizará una misa y la bendición de más 40 altares adornados con flores, panes y frutas. “En esta celebración recordamos con alegría la vida de nuestros seres queridos que ya trascendieron”, señaló Elvia Ramírez, quien participará en el evento, que además contará con la presencia de mariachis y bailarines, entre otros.

California voters will soon decide on a measure that could remove all restrictions on abortion in the state. The state’s existing laws restrict abortion after 24 weeks, or the age of viability, but advocates of Proposition 1 hold that’s not enough. Archbishop Jose Gomez of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, joins to share his concerns about Proposition 1. The proposal would allow for abortions up to the point of birth. Archbishop Gomez tells us what the general sentiment is among Californians and whether he thinks even some pro-choice voters consider this a step too far. The archdiocesan website mentions the issue of cost and how passage of Proposition 1 could also be a very expensive move for the state. Archbishop Gomez explains.
