    A first-of-its kind major pro-life event is taking place this Saturday in Los Angeles, a brand-new initiative inspired by L.A.’s pro-life archbishop.

    “This is completely the idea of Archbishop (Jose) Gomez,” Kathleen Buckley Domingo, Life Coordinator for the archdiocese’s Office of Life, Justice and Peace told LifeSiteNews. “He really provided the entire vision and framework for this event.”

    This is the inaugural year for the march, which goes beyond opposition to abortion to “celebrate the beauty of all human life from conception to death,” said Kevin Kast, project coordinator for the Office of Life, Justice and Peace for the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Los Angeles and a spokesman for the event.

    According to the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, the funeral began at 10:00 a.m. for Martha and Samuel Gaza, located at St. James Catholic Church located at 415 Vincent Street.
