Praying to Our Lady
Hundreds of people will kneel and pray in front of an image of Our Lady of Guadalupe they see as proof of a 16th-century miracle. The image, a pope-blessed reproduction of the original in Mexico City, will be displayed at a Dia de los Muertos celebration at Santa Clara Cemetery in Oxnard. Follow the event here.

Equestrian Order gathers
The Conferral of Promotions Mass and the Rite of Solemn Investiture Mass was celebrated Oct. 1-2 at the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem’s Annual Meeting in Tucson, Ariz. Mass in the New Hampshire State Prison Chapel was canceled for unknown reasons on the morning of Sunday, October 16. I had no Mass supplies to offer Mass that evening, and no way to obtain them in time, and by the time I learned of the cancellation, the 8:00 AM Mass on EWTN was over. Then I remembered that EWTN repeats its Sunday morning Mass at noon. So I made a mental note to drop everything then, and tune in.
