How the L.A. archdiocese is supporting separated immigrant families
Through Guadalupe Radio the Archdiocese of Los Angeles raised more than $90,000 last month to help reunited separated immigrant families in southern California.
“It was Archbishop [Jose] Gomez’s vision to have us be the leaders in treating immigration not as a political topic, but that it was important for the human dignity of people, first and foremost,” said Isaac Cuevas, the archdiocese’s director of immigration affairs.

Local delegation joins Hispanic Catholic leaders from across the United States at V Encuentro
In a spirit of joy, love and collaboration, 18 delegates from the Diocese of Camden, including Bishop Dennis Sullivan, joined more than 3,000 others from around the country earlier this month for the National V Encuentro in Grapevine, Texas.

V Encuentro national gathering focuses on young Latino Catholics
Young Latino Catholics were a focal point at the V Encuentro gathering, which took place Sept. 20 to 23 in Grapevine, Tex., and hosted a special dinner for bishops and young adults. A majority of Catholics under 30 are Hispanic,according to the Public Religion Research Institute.
