Mix of virtual, in-person Memorial Day observances planned for LA County
Most Memorial Day observances in Los Angeles County will be virtual Monday because of the coronavirus pandemic but in-person events are planned for Long Beach, Newhall and Westlake Village.
A reading of names of service members who have died in combat since 9/11 will begin at 5:30 a.m. at Rosie the Riveter Park in Long Beach. Active-duty military, law enforcement, first responders and veterans will read the names.
