Saiyuri Morris selected for Pathways to STEM program
This summer, Saiyuri Morris, a fourth-grader from St. Patrick Catholic School in North Hollywood, will join outstanding elementary school students from across the nation to take part in a unique academic development experience, the National Youth Leadership Forum (NYFL): Pathways to STEM. The program will take place at Occidental College in Los Angeles.

CIF-SS baseball: La Salle Lancers fall
In the finals of the CIF-SS Baseball Tournament, the only remaining Catholic team, the La Salle Lancers of Pasadena, lost to the Maranatha Minutemen 4-2 on Saturday, June 2, at CSU Fullerton.

Softball: Two Catholic victors
Two Catholic school teams won championship titles in the CIF-SS Softball Tournament with Finals victories on June 1 and 2. On Friday, the Chaminade Eagles defeated J.W. North by a score of 5-3 in the Division 5 finals after overcoming a 3-1 deficit in the 5thinning; and on Saturday, the Serra Cavaliers captured their first CIF title with a 12-1 victory over The Archer School For Girls in the Division 7 finals.
