UK Boys Choir to perform at Cathedral
On Friday, August 3, the nationally acclaimed London boys choir Libera will perform at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels, as part of a highly-anticipated U.S. tour. Although the choir has performed throughout the U.S. in years past, this will be their first appearance in Los Angeles.

Father Joe Moniz, beloved pastor, retires
When Father Joe Moniz first came to St. Philip the Apostle Church in Pasadena in 1998, parishioners did not know what to expect. How would an Indian-born priest connect with their multi-cultural Southern California parish community? Parishioners questioned whether his Indian accent would make homilies difficult to understand or if he could say a Mass in Spanish.

Msgr. Richard Krekelberg, a shepherd to his flock, retires
Monsignor Richard Krekelberg, ordained a priest in St. Vibiana’s Cathedral in 1973, by Cardinal Timothy Manning, has served in the Los Angeles Archdiocese for more than 45 years, baptizing children, marrying young adults, counseling the weary, providing guidance to high school students, and ministering to the sick. Msgr. Krekelberg has also been instrumental in the restoration and renovation of St. Rita’s Catholic Church and parish school.

St. Joseph moves to Central Section for sports
