Bishop Montgomery students attend prestigious leadership seminar
Last month, seven sophomores from Bishop Montgomery High School (BMHS), Torrance, participated in the 2015 Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership seminar for the Los Angeles region (HOBY-LA), a three-day leadership development program that brought together approximately 150 exceptional students from across the country.

These joyful words reverberated loudly off the walls of the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels in Downtown Los Angeles the afternoon of July 19, exclaimed by the faithful of diverse ages, ethnicities and cultures, representing parishes from across the archdiocese during the annual Mass in Recognition of Immigrants.

Archbishop Gomez introduces three new auxiliary bishops for LA Archdiocese
Pope Francis has named Father Robert Barron, Msgr. Joseph V. Brennan and Msgr. David G. O’Connell as auxiliary bishops for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.
The new auxiliary bishops will join Archbishop José H. Gomez, other auxiliary bishops, priests and deacons in serving the faithful of the largest archdiocese in the United States.
