The Class of 2016: A future full of hope
We have once again passed through graduation season, the de facto start of summer. Catholic high schools in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles graduated approximately 6,000 students this spring: about 3,300 from 26 archdiocesan and parish high schools, and about 2,700 from the 25 private high schools.

‘Learning a way of being’ 13 new deacons to serve archdiocese
Five years ago, 13 men embarked on a journey together to become deacons, meeting each other for the first time on a silent retreat. On June 11, that journey culminated in these men and their spouses being greeted by clamorous cheers emanating from the men, women and children who flocked to downtown Los Angeles’ Cathedral of Our Lady of Angels for this year’s Ordination to the Diaconate.

On June 12, many members of several Native American bands gathered at the San Fernando Regional Pastoral Center in Mission Hills to pray, sing and speak about the gift of mercy.
