Holy Week begins Sunday with Palm Sunday, which commemorates Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem.
Palm Sunday Masses at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels in downtown Los Angeles will be celebrated at 10 a.m. by Archbishop Jose H. Gomez and at 1 p.m. in Spanish by Rev. David Gallardo. -
Today Christians Honor Blessed Oscar Arnulfo Romero, Martyr For Jesus Christ
On Sunday, 22 March, 2015 in Los Angeles, over 3,000 people gathered at the ‘Cathedral of Our Lady of Angels’ for Mass in honor of Archbishop Romero’s Beatification (in San Salvador on the 23 May) and prayed that his ‘shining example’ of sacrificial love and his alliance and friendship with the poor and oppressed will continue to be fruitful.
