    Only 13 when he first felt the stirrings of a vocation, Michael Francis Killeen was the youngest of five children from an Irish family so Catholic it would produce three priests and one nun. (The lone holdout would later become a principal at a Los Angeles Catholic school, so she still chose a life of service.)

It is also being credited as a key factor in the Department of Catholic Schools’ (DCS) 4% increase in student enrollment heading into the 2022-23 academic year.
